This article not only presents works analyzing how the pronatalist policy is covered in the media, but also presents the opinion of the recipients of family support measures themselves, based on data from the results of a sample survey of the population - All-Russian sociological research "Demographic well-being of Russia". The following methods are reflected in the article. (1) Estimates of average values to characterize the generalizing level of awareness of young people about the measures of state family policy. (2) Ranking to determine the most preferred information sources for young people about the implemented family and demographic policy. (3) Nonparametric statistical methods for measuring and analyzing social information. Such as conjugacy tables (cross-tabulation), criterion - 2, coefficients of mutual conjugacy of Pearson and Chuprov, and others. The authors analyze the level of awareness about the measures of the state family policy of young men and women, characterize the priority of information sources, assess the need for additional information on measures to support families including identifying the most popular information sources for obtaining such information. The article also assesses the impact of the level of awareness of young people about the measures of state family policy on their reproductive behavior, which seems to be practically significant for recommendations regarding the development of information resources as a tool to increase the availability of state mechanisms to support a young family.
