Abstract

The publication is the materials of the correspondence round table “Eurasianism: pro et contra”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the publication of the first collective collection of works of the Eurasians “Exodus to the East” and continuing the tradition of scientific discussions dedicated to memorable dates from the history of Russian thought within the framework of the scientific project of the Publishing House SPbDA “Byzantine Cabinet”. The discussion is preceded by a short introductory speech by the editor-in-chief of the Russian-Byzantine Bulletin I. B. Gavrilov, then leading domestic experts, historians of Russian philosophical thought, historians of the Russian diaspora, researchers of the philosophical ideas of Eurasianism — P. N. Bazanov, R. R. Vakhitov, K. B. Ermishina, A. A. Korolkov, A. V. Malinov, M. V. Medovarov, A. A. Teslya, V. A. Fateev. The issues of the possible continuity of Eurasianism and Slavophilism, the connection of Eurasianism with the Western European philosophy of the first third of the 20th century, the problem of the attitude of Eurasians to the revolution of 1917 are considered, the influence of the Europeanization process on Russian history and culture is assessed, as well as the place of the Eurasian movement in the history of Russian philosophical thought. The round table is aimed at a multilateral analysis of the vast and rich heritage of one of the most original trends in Russian thought of the 20th century.
