Having occupied high status professional and managerial positions in all public spheres, they will determine the vectors of societal development in the coming decades. Studies indicate the intensification of a number of trends that significantly change the strategies and behavioral characteristics of young people in the sphere of family, which was the most conservative sphere before the twentieth century. The aim of the article is to document a new, rapidly changing society, the regulation of relations in which is a task with many unknowns, including due to insufficient information base. As a result of the analysis of empirical data obtained during the study «Family in Modern Russia: Student's View», the authors conclude that family members not only retain the freedom to choose its form, partner, style/model of behavior, but also create new practices. Due to the «privacy» of family relations, they are less subject to regulation, and, consequently, forecasts about the future of the family and the consequences of these changes for society as a whole are variable. Identification of «risk points» makes it possible to adjust educational work with students.
