Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the motives of youth involvement in the webcam industry. A targeted selection of informants who have been engaged in webcam modeling for at least two years has shown that economic needs; a desire to follow fashion trends; a lifestyle often based on consumer culture, a race for expensive goods; lack of family affection and a high propensity for frequent premarital sexual relations are the reasons for involvement in this activity.
