Differentiation of social and political orientations: issues of consolidation and interthnic accord

Abstract

The article analyzes the social and political orientations of citizens in the several multiethnic regions of Russia. Clarified that the most important aspects of social structure are the equality of everyone before the law and order and stability assurance. There is a mass orientation on the perception of Russia as a unique country, which does not fit the Western rules of life. Educated and young people in Moscow often think the freedom of speech and non-interference of state in different aspects of citizens’ life are necessary. In Moscow the minority oriented to Western rules of life for Russia, has more positive interethnic attitude than in other regions.
