Strategies for controlled consumption of drugs have long been studied abroad and for a number of reasons remain unexplored in domestic science. On the basis of interviews with 70 experienced consumers revealed that controlled consumption likes balancing between addiction and drug refusal. Some groups of consumers succeed without medical care. For comparison, the materials of interviews with 70 experienced consumers of high-risk, resorting to the help of a rehabilitation center and practicing a complete rejection of the drug. Along with this, it is shown - on the basis of the analysis of forums on the websites of drug problems - that the concept of controlled consumption is used to promote self - restraint, to prove the possibility of an independent exit from dependence-in the drug subculture. The destructive role of the construct of controlled consumption as an illusion of strong will, universal proof of the victory over dependence among inexperienced consumers is noted. This position is manifested in surveys of the population as a conditional condemnation of anesthesia: personal matter..., if..., no harm to others...Conclusion: the phenomenon of controlling consumption arose in the subculture and destroys the social norm of the ban on drugs in society.
