In 2016, real household income rose by 11.1% after a two-year decline between 2013 and 2015. The relative shares of income derived from different sources remained fairly stable. Work-related income and income from government transfer payments continued to yield the greatest portion of household income. In 2016, household expenditures increased by 9.2% with both food and non-food expenditures going up. It led to the restoration of a long-term trend towards the spending pattern with the significantly greater proportion of non-food expenditures, which was disrupted in 2015. The level of income inequality among households went down. The gap between households of the highest and the lowest income quintiles also contracted in term of expenditures. The general unemployment rate decreased from 5.5% in 2015 to 4.7% in 2016. This was majorly driven by the decline in unemployment among men. In 2016, women earned 74.4% of male work-related income. The number of workers who had wage arrears decreased from 2.8 to 1.8%, hitting an all-time low since 1994. The share of households struggling to pay rent and/or utility bills went down by 0.5% and amounted to 7.9% of all households. There was little change regarding personal well-being and life satisfaction. In 2016, people assessed their economic well-being a bit more negatively but were less pessimistic about life prospects. The proportion of those considering unemployment a serious problem continued to rise, however, the increase was negligible. The share of people completely satisfied with their current job went up from 65.6% in 2015 to 68.2% in 2016.Авторы:Воронин Г.Л., Козырева П.М., Косолапов М.С., Низамова А.Э., Сивкова И.В., Смирнов А.И., Соколова С.Б., Тонис Е.И.Content (in russ)hide table of contentsshow table of contents Содержание Введение ...................................................................................................................5 Воронин Г.
