Abstract

The article discusses the assessment by Russians of the changes introduced into their lives by migrants. Based on data from the European Social Survey (2016), it was found that the majority of respondents have a negative attitude towards the impact of migration on the country's economy and culture, as well as on Russia as a place to live. With the help of linear regression, factors affecting the assessment of changes introduced by migrants are analyzed. It has been established that the level of income has the greatest impact: with its decrease, the respondent’s assessment of the changes introduced by migrants becomes more negative. The level of assessment is also influenced by factors such as religiosity and age of the respondent.
