Abstract

An article adds to the body of researches of lifestyles of parents by analyzing the influence socio-demographic characteristics of mothers and fathers on their lifestyles. Studies carried out in different countries show that parents' lifestyles transmitted to their children what determines the actuality of such analysis. The data of nationally representative survey “Comprehensive monitoring of living conditions” (KOUZH–2016, 3th wave, N=60000 households), conducted in Russian Federation, used. As indicators of lifestyles considered sports, out-of-home leisure activities, bad habits (drinking, smoking), frequency of using Internet, duration of working time and time spent with children. Independent variables as level of education, occupation, work outside home, income per member of household, marital status, number of children, and place of living use in this analysis. The conclusions in relation to spreading of healthy/unhealthy, active/inactive lifestyles among mothers and father of different social groups presented.
