Abstract

In 2021, the next population census will take place in Russia. Since the previous census in 2010, Russia has seen a regular increase. Moreover, in 2013–2015. the birth rate has finally surpassed the death rate, but the migration rate has recently dropped slightly due to the crisis. The number of permanent and labor migrants in Russia differs by an order of magnitude. But in general, even permanent migrants come to work (often those migrants who decided to stay or stay in the country for several years) Despite the reduction in the inflow of migrants in 2020 due to the adoption of restrictive measures due to the pandemic COVID-19, labor migration remains an important factor affecting not only the socio-economic, but also the demographic situation in Russia. Therefore, it is important to understand how labor migrants who decide to link their fate with Russia will behave.
