Abstract

The upcoming post-epidemic reality, the transition to a new technological order and digital society necessitate the formation of vision of the future; among them, the formation of the prosperous family image occupies an important place, which determines the relevance of this article. New sociohumanitarian challenges, associated with the rapid development of the network society and obvious transformation of the social sphere, have determined the importance of spiritual and moral values. In this context, the institution of the family is not comparable to any other social institution. The family forms meanings, ideological principles, rules of behavior; it acts as the primary institution of socialization, a stable form of organizing interaction between people which is preserved and reproduced in public life. The purpose of the study is to determine the portrait of a happy and prosperous family, as well as to characterize the features of models of marriage and family relations, formed in Russian regions. The article is based on the data of the All-Russian sociological study “Demographic well-being of Russia”, carried out in 2020, characterized by high representativeness. The paper implements methods for analyzing descriptive statistics. The presented results are of high practical significance, as they have allowed outlining the image of a prosperous family through the eyes of residents of Russian regions, to identify the importance of determinants of family welfare in modern realities, and to determine the features of models of marriage and family relations in Russian regions. The authors have conducted a detailed analysis of the types of Russian families in the regional context, assessed the economic factor in the distribution of functions within the family through the eyes of the families themselves and characterized the relationship and psychological climate in families. The results of the study should be taken into account when developing management decisions in the field of the development of the institution of the family including decisions that contribute to the birth rate growth.
