Abstract

Modern agriculture is rapidly changing under the influence of digitalization. The efficiency of agriculture in developed countries is much higher than in Russia, largely due to digitalization. The digitalization of agriculture has both undeniable benefits and tasks that need to be solved in the near future. The purpose of this article is to investigate the features of the application and development of digital technologies in agriculture in Russia and abroad. The article substantiates the need to switch to digital technologies in agriculture and provide a favorable soil for their application in Russia. It is noted that the digital agrarian revolution can increase the productivity of the agro-industrial complex of the country more than several times, and the profitability is almost half, which will provide an opportunity to solve the problem of import substitution. According to the author, the digitalization of agriculture will ensure the country's food security.
