Abstract

The purpose of the article is a sociological analysis of the relationship between the categories of justice and legality. The authors make a theoretical review of this issue, paying special attention to the interpretation of social equality and inequality, and based on the data of a sociological survey, they study the features of the legal consciousness of modern Russians (on the example of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region), identifying the main trends and relationships in the social assessmentof legal and fair.
