It is noted that the Russian language has lost its former leading position as a means of communication in the post-Soviet space and in the world as a whole due to a number of objective and subjective reasons. Not only the number of those who speak Russian is decreasing, but also its use in national education systems. It is concluded that the preservation of the place of the Russian language in the world in the future depends on the ability the Russian economy will overcome the raw materials bias in the coming years and switch to the production of knowledge and the export of educational and scientific and technical services.Content (in russ)hide table of contentsshow table of contents Table of Contents Àëåêñàíäð Àðåôüåâ.
