Abstract

The article presents the periodization of the ethnic and social life of Tuvans, which is based on the peculiarities of the internal division of Tuvans into communities connected by kinship, kinship ties, and the corresponding generic identity. The social conditions for the functioning of these communities changed during the XIX, XX and XXI centuries, the generic identity itself changed its accents also.
