Abstract

The monograph presents the results of scientific research carried out by the staff of the ISPI FCTIS RAS and IDI FCSTS RAS within the framework of the state assignments of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The main event of 2021 that determined the socio-political situation in the country was the COVID-19 pandemic. The most important political event for the country was the holding of elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. The COVID crisis has to be overcome in the context of sharply deteriorating relations between our country and the Western countries and their satellites. The monograph reflects the results of studies of the socio-political and socio-demographic situation in the country, carried out by the staff of the institute and concerning topical problems of the life of the Russian civil society and the welfare state. The monograph is addressed to researchers, analysts, teachers, graduate students, students specializing in the study of socio-political processes and socio-demographic processes, politicians, organizers and activists of election campaigns, and management personnel.
