Abstract

The role of regional sociology in the study of behavioral practices and mass consciousness of people as representatives of regional and local communities is revealed. The importance of using the existing potential of sociology for scientific support of strategic management of the development of regions and municipalities is emphasized. The problem of the use of sociological data by the authorities is raised.
