Rostovskaya in 10 regions of Russia in late 2019 - early 2020, shows the dependence of the significance of some motives for the birth of a second and third child on value orientations. The results of the study suggest that the orientation towards having a relatively large number of children can be influenced by demographic policies aimed at increasing the importance of not only the children themselves, but also those needs that can be met by having several children.
