Abstract

The article reveals the approaches to labor productivity in the Soviet period from the standpoint of the State Planning Committee of the USSR. Regulatory documents that reflect the ratio of the economic course of those years to the increase in such an economic category as labor productivity are considered. The article emphasizes the value of the labor productivity indicator as an indicator of the efficiency of economic activity in an economy of any type - socialist or capitalist. A retrospective look at the problem of studying and assessing productivity once again emphasizes the relevance of the study in view of the formation of the digital economy, as well as significant transformations of economic processes in modern Russia
