Large military units were created in Tajikistan, which went directly to the front in full combat readiness. In addition to the contribution and participation of the Tajik people in the Great Patriotic War, Tajikistan really became a second home for many people. Residents of besieged Leningrad, Moscow, Kiev, Minsk and many other cities and villages of the western regions of the Soviet Union were evacuated to the republic. The purpose of the study is to show the role and contribution of the Tajik people in the Great Patriotic War. As a result of our research, we have shown that about 20% of the entire population of Tajikistan participated in the Great Patriotic War, and about 30% of them gave their lives for the Soviet Union.
