Abstract

The assessment of interethnic relations by the population of the republic is analyzed, the social factors determining the grounds of interethnic harmony and the directions of possible tensions in an ethnically diverse society are considered. Based on the results of the monitoring sociological study of 2021 the assessment of the state of interethnic relations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in accordance with the main indicators of the program of the Russian Federation Implementation of the state national policy is as follows: the share of citizens who positively assess the state of interethnic relations in the RS (Ya) as a whole is 71%, in places of residence – 81%; the share of citizens who confirm the absence of the rate of discrimination based on nationality is 88%. Dissatisfaction with the general situation in the republic and one's financial situation in the conditions of the current socio-economic situation can most likely become sources of possible ethnically marked social tensions.
