Previously, the author characterizes the theoretical background on the topic, which is connected with such concepts as “dark tourism”, “deep tourism”, “ecotourism”. Speaking about ruin emotions, the author explains the connection between interest in them and nostalgia, which always has not only a temporal, but also a spatial dimension. Nostalgia near collapsing objects can be reflexive and enters a broader discourse about trauma, failed reforms, and social crises. Thrill-seeking is another emotionally rooted motive in “disaster tourism”. The ruin landscapes are filled with the charm of anti-progress, they can shock, but this is precisely what attracts modern citizens. According to the author opinion, the discussion about the ruined territories, including in the perspective of emotions, is one of the current trends in urban studies. It means the interest to symbiosis of various subjects and places. Content (in russ)hide table of contentsshow table of contents
