Abstract

The features of social well-being and behavior of older people in the context of the coronavirus pandemic are analyzed. Analysis is based on data from the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey – Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE). It is shown that in a pandemic, old age becomes a factor that increases social risks and vulnerability. But despite this, older people often overcome the difficulties that have arisen with less adaptation difficulties than younger people.
