The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that migration processes, which are a characteristic feature of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, have become a catalyst for social transformations in societies hosting migrants. Migration has an impact on the host labor markets, and despite the fact that many of them cannot do without borrowed labor, the ethnic labor force significantly transforms the usual social and labor processes. The purpose of this work is to consider the features of the settlement of ethnic enclaves, the features of their formation and adaptation in the host community, as well as their impact on the sphere of social and labor relations. The authors of the article draw attention to the fact that migrants push representatives of the host community away from those segments of the labor market where unskilled or low-skilled labor is required. It is noted that the ethnic influx does not lead to a deterioration in the quality of work of representatives of the majority. It is concluded that the increase in the number of migrants in the region is not a serious economic threat to representatives of the majority of the host community. However, ethnic enclaves and isolation in them are associated with a deterioration in employment prospects for both migrants and ethnic minorities.
