Abstract

Achieving gender equality throughout the world is becoming the central moment of development. It provides an opportunity to strengthen the country’s capacity for economic growth, poverty reduction and effective public administration. This article is devoted to the analysis of gender equality in modern Tajikistan. The main priorities for ensuring equality of opportunity and reducing gender inequality are identified. Particular attention is paid to the place and role of women in society.
