Abstract

The article shows the interaction of the state, society and confessions in the countries of Eurasia (especially during the crisis state of societies). An important issue for the implementation of the concept of sustainable development of the country is the search for various kinds of identity (national, civil, religious, etc.). The participation of confessions, religious and social forces enriches the scope of actors on the socio-political foreground, among other things, transforms the system of coordinates significantly. Socio-political and other types of crises determine the peculiarities of the religious and social activities of confessions. These crises are somehow reflected in modern religious ideology, which forms certain images of the future existence, and later – individual vectors of social and political activity. The author also demonstrates the likelihood of cooperation between the leaders of various confessions, including on socially significant issues (such as ensuring a culture of peace, human rights, national security, etc.). She also reveals the attitude to such symbols, images and phenomena of today’s reality as populism, «Euroscepticism», human rights and freedoms.
