Abstract

The article analyses key life’s demands and expectations of Russian youth. The focus is on possible division lines between various generations and ensuing social antagonisms, which threaten axiological continuity and stable development of Russian society. The author argues that the real generational divisions in the country emanate more from particularities of youth and non-youth ways of life than from conflicting world-views per se. The data collected during the all-Russia representative sociological survey «Youth and Russia of the Future», sponsored by the RISS and the FCTAS RAS in 2021, serves as empirical base for the study.
