Abstract

The article attempts to give a snapshot of how the concept of constitutionalism is interpreted in the mass consciousness of Russians and whether the COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes to this issue. Based on the results of the research, an unambiguous conclusion was drawn that the awareness by Russian citizens of the significance and necessity of certain legal requirements, including those of the constitutional level, does not always imply a readiness to strictly comply with them. Even the deadly coronavirus pandemic could not change this state of mass legal consciousness.
