Abstract

An analysis of the results of the congresses of the Socialist International and the Party of European Socialists held at the end of last year showed that there are trends in the international socialist movement towards its serious renewal. This has found expression in the change of the leaders of these entities, which in the near future may lead to significant changes in the image and the degree of influence of socialists on the international agenda. This is especially important for the Socialist International, which in the last 10–15 years has noticeably lost its former greatness and authority.
