Abstract

The monograph was prepared at the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is devoted to the analysis of the development of political relations in the conditions of transformation processes in modern Russia. It discusses issues related to the prospects for the study of complex interactions and possible models for the development of modern socio-political relations associated with a significant analytical potential of network theory. The emphasis is placed on the epistemological possibilities of using the concept of network (and its derivatives) as a research method political relations. An attempt is made to apply network theory as a tool for describing some socio-political phenomena, in particular, regarding the dynamics of political relations, and to explain the ongoing trans -formation processes through network logic, which destroys the usual classical ideas about the interaction of political subjects and objects within a single structured system. This book is addressed to specialists in the field of public administration, political and public activities, researchers and university teachers, graduate students and students specializing in political science and related disciplines.
