The authors consider the most used ways of influence in practice in their socio-psychological context and aspects of manipulating the society’s consciousness. The key ways of influence such as coercion, suggestion, conviction, agitation, propaganda, stereotyping (programming) and problematization are characterized at the interdisciplinary social and scientific level. Under the most used and demanded ways of influencing public consciousness in practice it is concluded that they are complementary and substitutable in their content and by type of influence as well as these ways are peculiar regulators of social reality influencing the key spheres of social life. It is noted that this research area has a prominent scientific potential for further field-oriented studies.
