Abstract

The article analyzes the chronological development of Eurasianism as a domestic philosophical concept that originated in the late XIX - XX century. The analysis is made by comparing the main ideas and personalities, ranging from the creation of the idea of Eurasia as a special space within the geographical sciences and ending with the modern domestic philosophers. As a result of selection, the following directions of development of classical Eurasianism are put forward: civilizational, geopolitical and teleological. The shortcomings of the theory of Eurasianism, which did not allow this concept to become more widespread, are also highlighted. The analysis of the main works of neo-Eurasianism and the allocation of similar semantic blocks in this current. The author comes to a conclusion about the cyclical nature of the development of Eurasianism. The main provisions of the Eurasian idea, highlighted within the article, will be useful for the actualization of this philosophical direction and its popularization in the territory of Eurasia.
