Abstract

The article assesses the implementation of the youth policy of the Russian Federation based on the results of the sociological study «Cultural Heritage and the connection of generations» conducted by the Russian Society of Sociologists in 2022, which was declared the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia in the Russian Federation. 9751 university students were interviewed online in 60 regions of Russia. A comparison of respondents' responses by Federal Districts showed that the practical significance of the data increases when analyzing the results in relation to a specific region. This article evaluates the system of value orientations of Nizhny Novgorod students (N = 1699 The authors come to the conclusion: the mentality of students is formed under the influence of the realities of their surrounding life, characterized by them as unfair, which give rise to ideas about an ideal society in which socialist and liberal values are inconsistently «intertwined».
