Abstract

The purpose of the study. Using the example of cooperation between the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Sociology of the Russian State Social University to implement the task of integrating university education and academic science, the article examines the content of scientific mentoring as a productive way to activate students’ research activities, increase the level of their research culture and academic status in order to analyze systems of interaction between mentors and students, areas of their daily practices. The research methodology is presented by methods of retrospective analysis of materials, literature, documents, analogy and comparison, as well as generalization of the research results. Research result. The article reveals the ideology of cooperation, which consists in creating conditions for young sociologists of universities to obtain modern scientific knowledge, their use in the preparation of term papers, diploma projects, as well as PhD theses, and for researchers of institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences — in systematizing the results of sociological research, expanding the membership of academic projects, attracting talented youth to further study in graduate school. The forms of educational and scientific activity of mentors are shown: methodological workshops, master classes, discussions, the role of the mentor’s personality and the effectiveness of the introduction of mentoring at the university, the results of activities, the need for the transition of higher education to scientific and educational activities, the transformation of scientific mentoring into an effective mechanism of the educational process.
