Abstract

The article examines the problematic situation associated with pronounced ethnic and religious traditions that face difficulties associated with the impact on them both from outside and from within. One of the places of manifestation of ethnic cultural identity are Jewish settlements. The purpose of the scientific article is to identify the factors influencing the formation and preservation of ethnic cultural and religious traditions by residents of Jewish settlements (using the example of the Primorsky settlement (Stalindorf) of the Volgograd region). The analysis is based on the results of a sociological study “Cultural patterns of Jewish settlements in the Volgograd region”.
