Abstract

Purpose of the research was to perform the comparative analysis of physical development indicators in children of the Moscow region in long-term dynamics from 1960-s till 2020-s. Materials and methods. The research was simultaneously performed in 2019-2023 in educational institutions in Moscow and the Moscow region. It involved studying somatometric indicators in 2146 schoolchildren aged 8-17 using standard anthropometric measurements and tools. The comparative analysis included data received in 1960-s (4092 schoolchildren), 1980-s (2460) and 2000-s (2472). Data processing was carried out using standard statistical data processing and Statistica 13 PL, SPSS 27.0 and Excel software packages. Results and their discussion. Within the period from the second half of the XX till the beginning of the XXI centuries growth process and children development acceleration have been registered. Conclusion. Comparative analysis of physical development indicators in children of the Moscow region in long-term dynamics from 1960-s till 2020-s allowed to indicate a positive vector of changes with slowdown tendency in acceleration compared with 2000-s.
