The most obvious impact on human potential is the additional (in relation to the initial professional) education, which acquires the features of free self-development of a person and is increasingly dependent on self-education. In leisure time, such forms of spending free time have also emerged, which are oriented not just at restoring strength, but at increasing physical health. In turn, participation in social organisations develops a person's activity and communicative abilities, which also has a positive effect on his or her human potential. Finally, even leisure time associated with Internet hobbies (gamerism, blogging, etc.) gives an increase in competences that are unconditionally necessary now and even more so in the future (information literacy, openness to the global flow of information). In order to characterise the leisure of Russian professionals as an element of reproduction of their human potential, we need to solve the following tasks: to understand the peculiarities of leisure practices of Russian professionals, comparing them with other professional groups, as well as to identify the dynamics of leisure activity of professionals over the last decade and to find the factors contributing to the choice of more productive types of leisure by professionals.
