Behavioral economics integrates conceptual frameworks from psychology, sociology, and economics to examine decision-making processes, focusing on identifying biases, both cognitive and behavioral, as well as social norms that influence human behavior. This study focuses on the application of behavioural economics to household energy efficiency strategies. Key cognitive and behavioural barriers and incentives were identified from expert interview data, supported by a review of behavioural economics and energy efficiency research. Cognitive barriers were identified at the decision-making stage, where the main barriers were the ricochet effect, the illusion of a reduced carbon footprint, errors in the perception of calculations, errors resulting from lack of awareness and errors of slanted thinking. Although savings remain the main motivation for energy saving practices, environmental concerns are becoming increasingly important.;Авторы:Ермолаева Ю.В.
