Based on the material of a mass survey on a representative sample, as well as materials of expert interviews and focus groups conducted by the author in the region, the level of Russian identity is considered according to the recommended by the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs the methodology, as well as the specifics of identity in demographic, social, ethnic subsamples and the content of Russian identity. The downward trend of the level of Russian identity in the period 2020-2022 has been revealed, which in 2022 is more noticeable in the subsample of ethnic Russian residents of the republic. It is shown that the key identifiers of Russian identity are similar to the all–Russian level, the most significant unifying factor is the common state, which is more significant for Sakha people. It is proved that the higher the assessment of one's own well-being, the higher the level of Russian identity.
