Abstract

International educational migration is an important factor in the development of the promotion of Russian programs in the world market of educational services. Russia is traditionally among the world's leading countries in admitting foreign students. This trend, according to Rossotrudnichestvo, persisted in 2020-2022, despite the pandemic and quarantine restrictions, the forced transition of universities to a distance learning regime, and the transformation of the geopolitical situation. The purpose of this study is to study the demand for Russian educational programs of higher education in the global market of educational services, to analyze the current directions of training in Russian universities for citizens of foreign countries. Materials and methods. The empirical base of the research is based on statistical data of educational organizations, on the content analysis of a number of documents of foreign and domestic educational systems, on the author's conclusions and proposals made at a number of scientific and practical conferences of employees of international services in 2019-2022. Results. The main problems of the demand for Russian educational programs of higher education in the world market of educational services are identified, the current directions of training in Russian universities for citizens of foreign countries are analyzed.
