Abstract

Focusing on self-employment as a source of income is an objective necessity for many segments of the working-age population. Creating a job in this area of the labor market requires minimal expenses, income can quickly exceed expenses. At the same time, it is worth noting the low technological level and low labor productivity of those employed in this area, the spread of which is facilitated not only by market transformation, but above all by the deepening economic crisis. Accordingly, the positive effects of self–employment are found mainly in the social sphere - with the help of self-employment, unemployment problems can be solved, but it is impossible to solve economic growth issues. A characteristic feature is self-regulation, which combines activity and the ability to organize one's economic activities, find a way out in various situations using a network of social connections. It is economic activity (the manifestation of individuality, self-realization, the level of economic interaction with the external environment) that is one of the prerequisites that forms a tendency to self-employment, which depends on a number of both internal and external factors.
