Abstract

The increasing "ontologization" in modern political research is primarily due to the fact that political ontology is recognized as a system-forming role in the development of political theory, strengthening its theoretical and methodological potential in understanding the essence of political reality.  Political relations are always the result of the interaction of subjects and participants in the political process, which unfolds in a continuum formed as the intersection of social hierarchies, structures and networks. The search for a balance between hierarchies and horizontals of the social structure largely reflects the essence of modern politics, which, one way or another, correlates with the concept of a social contract, where the search for compromise is, on the one hand, the main goal, on the other – an instrument of political relations. The noted tendency to intensify the study of the ontological aspect of theoretical knowledge in sociology, as well as in political science, is associated with a significant number of theoretical problems.
