Abstract

In conditions of depopulation, a narrowed reproduction regime, the issue of realizing the reproductive potential of the population, which is determined by demographic behavior, is especially acute. Starting a family at a young age, on the one hand, can stimulate the growth of the birth rate, which is very important in conditions of depopulation, on the other hand, it solves a number of social and psychological problems of a young person, counteracts the spread of the epidemic of loneliness. Accordingly, the student family can be distinguished as a separate social phenomenon. This is a special group that, due to the peculiarities of its position, needs government support. In this regard, it is relevant to analysis the measures of state support for the student family in modern Russian society. The authors draw attention to the need to establish the legal status of the student family at the federal level and to adopt at the state level a set of measures aimed at the formation and development of the institution of the student family in the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, there are regional measures to support student families, the effectiveness of which needs to be assessed. The practice of supporting student families in educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education is replicated, but their financing is not systematic and is carried out mainly at the expense of the expenses of the educational organization for educational work.
