Abstract

The purpose of the article иis to study and analyze the problems of the labor market and employment faced by the practice of making managerial decisions, both at the regional leveland the entire country as a whole. Research methods: collection, processing, and analysis of Government documents, statistics, and sociological research materials. Results obtained: various aspects ofemployment of the population and the labor market in Russia as a whole and for individual regions are studied and analyzed. The main problems and prospects for the development of the Russian labor market are identified and formulated in the form of analytical provisions and proposals aimed at improving the process of managing employment in the region and in Russia as a whole. The problems faced by employment services are identified. Scientific novelty: New directions for creating favorable conditions for employment of the population and providing enterprises with labor through economic stabilization, improving the quality and competitiveness of the labor force, developing personnel training systems, and actions of state bodies on employment issues are proposed.
