Abstract

The article analyzes the significance of feature content as a tool of “soft power” in the context of the unfolding hybrid war of the collective West against Russia. It also examines factors determining the content characteristics, the organizational, financial and legal conditions of its production and purchase. Furthermore, it evaluates the role played by the state, corporate and commercial structures, as well as by creative teams and other actors of the artistic and creative process, during the creation and broadcasting of films and TV-series. The author demonstrates some narratives of television series content and evaluates their spiritual, ideological and sociocultural resonance within modern society.
