Abstract

The monograph reflects the results of sociological research conducted by the author's team in 2014-2022 within the framework of topics related to the study of students' ideas about marital and family relations and the well-being of family life, as well as problematic aspects of the formation and development of the institute of student family in Russia. The methodology of the work is based on the theoretical ideas of scientists, the monograph examines the vital activity and transformation of the institution of the family, presents the understanding of the family as a unity of relations based on marriage-matrimony-parenthood-kinship, discusses the influence of traditional family values on the formation of marital and reproductive behavior of Russian youth. Empirical data were collected using the methods of a mass survey of Russian students, in-depth interviews with members of student families, and an expert survey on measures to support the institute of student families in the regions of Russia. The publication is addressed to researchers, analysts, teachers, graduate students, and students specializing in the study of demographic behavior and values of Russian students.
