Abstract

The article examined the main negative trends of socio-demographic and environmental-economic processes in the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation. The authors provided the analysis of the demographic and environmental situation in both countries, the review of the cultural and historical foundations of the perception of the northern territories in the Chinese public consciousness, trends in cooperation between the PRC and the RF in the economic sphere, the main trends and reasons for the migration outflow of highly qualified personnel from the territory of Siberia, the Russian Far East and the Northeast of China, the current state of the labor market and unemployment in Russia.
