Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the labor potential of Russia as a strategic factor in the development of the country in order to increase the efficiency of its use. Main tasks: 1) to analyze the state and dynamics of labor potential; 2) to assess the compliance of labor potential with the current and prospective conditions of Russia's development; 3) to propose a promising approach to the transformation of the country's labor potential. The problem is considered in the context of an urgent political agenda related to ensuring economic and socio-political security, technological and economic sovereignty of Russia. The analysis shows that, despite certain efforts on the part of the state, negative processes in the social and labor sphere continue to dominate and even intensify. The shortage of labor resources is increasing, the problem of their quality and imbalance in the sectoral and regional distribution is becoming more acute, and the personnel imbalance at the level of companies and enterprises is increasing.
