The peculiarity of this integration association is that it is in the processes of intensification of international labor migration that the leaders of the ASEAN countries see the achievement of the initial goal of creating the integration grouping itself, namely, expanding mutual trade, removing bureaucratic barriers and stimulating investment. The article reveals that from the perspective of the direction of labor migration flows, ASEAN clearly traces donor countries (Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia) and recipient countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam). Current trends in international labor migration in ASEAN allow us to conclude that by the end of 2023, the scale of this type of migration will return to the pre-pandemic level. As a result of the study, it was found that the basis for the legal regulation of labor migration within ASEAN is bilateral agreements between individual countries. At the supranational level, the adopted documents in the field of regulation of labor migration are advisory in nature and are not binding. One of the main problems in the field of labor migration is the high level of illegal migration and violation of the rights of labor migrants in recipient countries.
