Abstract

The process of individualization in modern society weakens the continuity of cultural traditions and social determination, and actualizes the adjustment and revision of own life project for individuals, as well as the use of various resources. The article reveals the role of religiosity in biographical project on the example of high school students’ lifeplans. The results of the study based on a questionnaire survey demonstrate that the significance of God is not associated either with the solution of existential issues by schoolchildren, nor with subjective well-being. Religiosity in biographical design, rather, performs the function of an axiological landmark associated with the reproduction of traditional values. Respondents' answers to open-ended questions are given, as well as their comments on the questionnaire related to religious issues, which raise questions for further search for relevant methodological and instrumental solutions in sociological studies of teenagers’ religiosity.
